Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Welcome

Airport pickup in Guatemala City, scenic transfer to Lake Atitlan. Check in at your lakefront villa and enjoy a welcome briefing on the week ahead.

Day 2: Pottery Workshop

Morning boat ride to San Antonio Palopo for a full pottery workshop with local artisans. Learn traditional techniques for shaping and decorating clay vessels. Free afternoon to explore the village or relax at the villa.

Day 3: Backstrap Loom Weaving

Visit Santa Catarina Palopo for a backstrap loom weaving workshop. Less visited and slower paced than other villages, this experience feels deeply authentic and is led entirely by women artisans. Learn about natural dyes and traditional textile symbolism.

Day 4: Markets & Ceremonies

Visit the famous Chichicastenango market. Witness traditional Mayan ceremonies at the Santo Tomas church steps. Afternoon free for shopping and exploration.

Day 5: Cooking Class in San Juan

Boat ride to San Juan La Laguna for a slow-paced traditional cooking class. Learn to prepare pepian, tortillas, and cacao drinks from scratch with local families. A relaxed, hands-on experience.

Day 6: Farewell & Departure

Sunrise by the lake. Gift exchange with local artisans. Transfer to Guatemala City airport.
