Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Briefing

Airport pickup, transfer to Lake Atitlan. Check in at your lakefront villa. Welcome gathering and expedition briefing with your naturalist guide.

Day 2: Cloud Forest Expedition

Early morning boat to the cloud forest reserve. Full-day birding expedition through mossy trails. Target species: Resplendent Quetzal, Horned Guan, Azure-rumped Tanager.

Day 3: Volcanic Slopes & Photography

Hike the slopes of San Pedro volcano through different altitude zones. Identify endemic orchids, bromeliads, and ferns. Afternoon photography workshop focused on wildlife and landscape techniques with your naturalist guide.

Day 4: Evening Wildlife Walk

Morning and afternoon free for rest, personal exploration, or independent birding. Evening night wildlife walk to spot owls, nightjars, and nocturnal mammals.

Day 5: Village & Gardens

Visit botanical gardens and butterfly reserves. Afternoon cultural village visit. Farewell gathering sharing species lists and photographs.

Day 6: Farewell & Departure

Final dawn birding session. Species checklist review. Transfer to Guatemala City airport.
